Fifteen years ago, Kaari Meng began French General in an old barn along the Hudson River in upstate New York. Traveling to France every summer with her family, she explored the rural French countryside and collected inspirational elements found in old homes and filled the barn with antique floral textiles, striped ticking fabrics and traditional linen and hemp sheets. Little by little, French General evolved into a lifestyle brand of rural French sensibility.

Each color collection can stand on its own; combined together, the prints, stripes embroideries, wovens and trimmings come alive."
